hey friends!!! as you know, the first three months of Gap Year look a lot different this year. instead of immediately launching internationally, racers are spending their first three months going through intensive discipleship training in Gainesville, GA. for a month now, we have been quarantined to the campus here in order to try to keep ourselves COVID free & allow Gap Year to function smoothly.
when leaders and racers alike arrived on campus, we all knew there was a chance that we wouldn’t leave until Thanksgiving, but AIM told us that they would do their best to give us ministry opportunities as COVID regulations allowed. Two weeks ago, we found out that we will, in fact, get to do off-campus ministry during the month of October!!!
*drumroll please*
October 10-17, our squad has the honor of traveling to Louisiana and doing disaster relief work with Samaritan’s Purse !!! I‘m so excited to get to walk through hands-on ministry with my squad, and to plant the passion for missions work in our home country in all of their hearts! What a privilege to meet the physical needs of a hurting community while also bringing the hope of eternal life through Jesus all at the same time!
So why am I telling you all this? Firstly, I’m so passionate about inviting my supporters to walk alongside me and share in this missions journey that God has called me to! Secondly, I am asking for support in prayer! Prayers for safe travel, for a fruitful time serving others, and for Kingdom impact—that what we do over these upcoming seven days would have an eternal impact for even one person. Last but not least, I have three girls on my team who are still fundraising to be able to stay in training and then launch on the field in January. Their next deadline has to be met by October 15th. If anyone is looking for the opportunity to join in on a ministry opportunity but can’t take the time off work to physically volunteer, I invite you to partner with these girls and in what God is doing in the world through them by financially supporting them! Whether it’s giving up your coffee budget for the week or becoming a monthly supporter, if you are interested in supporting any of them, please reach out to me and I will connect you with ways to donate!!
once again, thank you to all of my supporters for sticking with me and following along with my journey, for reading my blogs, for partnering with me in prayer, and for the financial support over the last two years! it’s an honor to share this journey with you all, and it’s an honor to be where I am, walking with my new squad as they realize their passions and walk out the Great Commission in their own lives!
blessings!

God is working through you, and will continue to work through you Nicole!! Love you sister!
I read this verse this morning, and thought of your ministry:
“…whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John14:12
I’m praying for “even greater things” to be done in and through you, your team, and your squad during your time in Louisiana! Love you!
Nicole – your heart for discipling others is so apparent. THANK YOU for inviting us into this journey with you – I’m holding you all tightly in prayer!! 🙂
